Another restaurant in Steiner Ranch

What kind of food? Where is it? This link from the excellent Hill Country News that for some odd reason has today’s date included in their links so that their links change from day to day. So the link will work today so I will cut and paste the article for after today. Oh woops… to answer the questions. Looks like bar food/Americana type food. It is next door to Fion and it will actually be an extension to Fion and be their restaurant. […]

Hill Country Pasta Review

I found a deal online for Hill Country Pasta House at restaurant.com. You can get a 25 dollar dining certificate for 10 bucks, and at the end of the month they always have coupon codes that reduce it further. I got two certificates for six bucks total. I will inform you when it happens again. So I heard good things about HCP from the comments, so we decided to check it out. My wife ordered one of the specials, seafood in cajun cream sauce. She […]

Lakeside Pizza and Grill: Review 2

Since there were a lot of comments on the blog about Lakeside Pizza and Grill the past couple of days. I wanted to put a post up about my most recent experience. We went this past Thursday and arrived at around 7. We wanted to sit outside but the hostess said it would take 40 minutes for them to unchain the tables and chairs. RANT ON If you don’t want to do it then just tell us… you don’t have to lie and say it will take 40 minutes. There are […]

BW3’s or Buffalo Wild Wings is coming back to Austin

…well really Cedar Park from the looks of this article. Another 350,000 square feet of construction will be under way in the next 60 days at Endeavor Real Estate Group’s 1890 Ranch retail project in Cedar Park. On the west side of the project, Gold’s Gym and Bealls already are under construction with openings as early as July. Construction will begin within a month at Carl’s Jr., Chick-fil-a and Buffalo Wild Wings. On the east side of […]

Two small updates

First is related to the sign I see when I drive home at the first corner of Quinlan and Steiner Ranch Blvd kitty corner from Steiner Ranch Elementary. It is a sign for a new “mixed use” development with office, medical, professional, and retail space. It will be a combined 38,000 square feet and will have views of Lake Travis. Website is here. I emailed the developers and there is not a start date yet. Second is an amendment to an earlier post […]

December 12, 2007

is the most important meal of the day. I usually wake up a grab a bowl of cereal while watching SportsCenter or listening to the Bobby Bones Show and then head on out to work. But on some weekends me and my wife like to head out to eat breakfast at the many great breakfast places in Austin. I found this article talking about breakfast places and wanted to agree/disagree with some of his choices. Biscuits and gravy. Two large, split, soft, […]

Steiner Ranch Steakhouse Construction Started

The title says it all. In case you don’t know the history, there is going to be a steakhouse with views of Lake Travis closer to the secondary Steiner Ranch entrance. From what I read somewhere, construction is starting now and expected to finish in a […]

Cups and Cones… Opening October 25th?

I emailed the owners of Cups and Cones and they say the tentative opening date is October 25th, maybe sooner. I stopped by there and painting and construction were going on and it looks possible. Hopefully it opens […]

Lakeside Pizza and Grill Review

First Day Review of Lakeside Pizza and Grill.Me and my wife went to the first day of the restaurant being open. Some good things… some things that need to be tweaked.First the food. No complaints here. We ordered a salad and a pizza and shared both, and it was a lot that we had to take some leftovers home. The pizza style is much like Austin Pizza and Rockin Tomato in the sense of the lighter/thinner crust and higher quality cheese and […]
