Rio Mesa is a great neighborhood for those looking for a larger home in close proximity to the schools without some of the traffic headaches associated with being on the other side of Country Trails. Homes were built by Morrison and Newmark between 2002 and 2006. They range from 2600 to 4300 SF with a lot of 5 bedroom homes and 2.5+ car garages. Lots are larger too – ranging from .2 to .4 Acres with exterior lots on Rio Mesa and Rayo De Luna backing to greenbelt and preserve, some with views of the University of Texas Golf Course. A good amount of distance between the streets means very few homes in Rio Mesa back directly to another home, allowing for more privacy than in some of the newer neighborhoods.
