Hancock Hill is centered in one of the more active areas of Steiner Ranch. The John Simpson Community Center, within walking distance of the Hancock Hill neighborhood, is home to many HOA sponsored events throughout the year. Amenities in the John Simpson Community Center include: a shady playground, a lap pool, toddler splash pad, tennis and basketball courts. The circular layout of Hancock Hill and numerous cul-de-sacs in the neighborhood help to create a safe and friendly environment. Constructed between 1996 and 2001, homes in Hancock Hill range in size from 1,750 to 3,200. There are quite a few one story homes in Hancock Hill. Hancock Hill has a unique historical aspect that differentiates this neighborhood from other sections in Steiner Ranch. There is a small cemetery on a grassy knoll on Burks Lane where the Hancock family were buried between 1901 and 1912. Hancock Hill is one of the most walkable sections in Steiner Ranch. There is a crosswalk for students to cross over into Majestic Oaks where there’s a walking path that leads to Laura Bush & Canyon Ridge as well as the Towne Square Community Center.
