New Highland Lakes dance company is holding auditions

Gravity Dance, performance & competition dance team, is holding auditions Saturday, September 19, 2009, for male and female dancers ages 8 – 18 for ’09-’10 season. Auditions will  be held at Alisa’s Dance Academy, 2009 RR620 North, Suite 420, Austin, TX.

Gravity Dance Company (GDC) is Central Texas’ newest pre-professional program, and focuses on dancers who want a more challenging dance education and elite performance opportunities. GDC is designed for dancers who have a love for the art of dance, a strong work ethic and natural dance ability, and exhibit positive attitudes as team members and role models for the company. Members of the company will experience not only outstanding and rigorous dance education, but also performance opportunities at conventions, competitions, and showcases throughout the year.

Dancers auditioning should be prepared to perform combinations of ballet, jazz/lyrical, and tap, and will be judged on ability, technique, execution, showmanship, and style.
