Apperently the steakhouse is having financial problems because they wont pay me. Maybe they used the money to patch the road. Anyone else heard anything?

Actually there was a reason. This was the original "Grand Entrance" to Steiner Ranch in the 90's. Quinlin Park Rd was a dangerous 2 lane which intersected with the then more dangerous 2 lane 620. In 1993 I was in a bad accident (rear-ended) while waiting to turn on Quinlin Park Rd.
The intersection was a blind corner (much as it still is, but since the curve was not as obtuse it was far worse.

So the Grand Entrance was built on top of the hill for safety and marketing (with the signs).

After the County came up with funds to widen Quinlin Park, it was done, lights were installed, and you have what you see now...but this was only after 620 was widened and the ox bow was removed on down the road.

The key work here is patience. The road will be fixed in due time. With the amount of construction vehicles that will be travleing this road, it does not make sense to repave it only to have it torn up. When the time is right, the road will be fixed. I think the complaints are a result of the Veruca Salt mentality of "I want it now!"

Does anyone ever have anything positive to say in the comments section? This entire site is developing a negative lean that is getting old!

Here's a thought, everyone commenting could instead work together and complain to the HOA to make them do something about it. If there is damage to the Steiner Ranch property then the HOA can make them fix it.

It is simple as this...take Quinlan Park. Everyone knows Steiner Rach and/or Steiner Ranch Steakhouse owners do not want the BLVD left like this and will be fixed. Right or wrong, Bag of Awesome made me laugh. We have bigger things to be worried about. Patience people, patience.

Bag of Awesome 1 Steiner Res 0

Bag of Awesome wins by means of being too smart.

I think the Steiners have done great with the area. Exchanging a rut in one of their roads for a steakhouse that overlooks lake Austin. Do you realize that by adding business in this area draws more attention to other potential businesses that might want to build in the Steiner Ranch area? What does this mean for you? Property value on the rise. I would sacrifice a little eye sore for my own personal prosperity. They made an attempt to fix the road. For that I commend them. What would you like to see happen? The whole road tore up and repaved? Do you know what a 2 lane road costs on average? $1,000,000 a mile on average. More business drawn to Steiner Ranch, or a nice road. Chocies.... Still a sad face for you. :'(
